Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This is the time of year when typically there are a lot of marriage proposals. With the excitement of being engaged, comes many milestones in your relationship. Today’s post focuses on some clever ideas on making an engagement photo book with our PixPublisher.
Instead of just putting together a guest book of your engagement pictures, why not think outside the box a bit. For instance, I’m sure you have a story as to how you and your fiance’ first met. In most cases, the stories are quite different between the two perspectives. So why not put a page in your photo book that includes the story of how you met? It will be great to get both sides of the story and your guests will love to read it.
Along these same lines, you can also include:
* Your Proposal Story
*Your First Trip Together
*Your First Date
When I photograph couples, I often ask them to take me somewhere that is special to them a cafe’ , a park, a movie theater. Anything that will reflect this great period in your life.
Not only are the words images important to your engagement book, but so are the outfits you have chosen. With our PixPublisher, it’s easy to customize the photo book to your colors. I took our guest book template and changed it from a black bar to a brown bar. If you take a look at the red arrow, you’ll see where I did a color pick from her boot. I picked the darkest color to anchor the photo book and have it coordinate.
These are just a few ideas to jazz up your engagement photo book. I hope these small tips will help you on your way to making a photo book that is a true reflection of your engagement.

This week we want to turn the spotlight on our mini photo books. We offer 6 x 4.5 and our most popular size is 6×6. Recently, I talked to Paul and Sylvia of Paul and Sylvia Photgoraphy and Design about the mini books. Paul and Sylvia are amazing wedding photographers out of Toronto, Canada.
Sylvia dropped us a note saying, “I just wanted to let you know that we just delivered some albums to our clients and created a perfect 6×6 parent book through you. We absolutely loved it and so did they. ”
The 6×6 wedding photo books are the perfect keepsake for parents after the wedding day is over. The parents’ wedding photo books are typically smaller versions of the original wedding photo book. They can be exact replicas of the bride and groom’s album or they can be customized to include any collection of favorite wedding photos and memories. Also, when you log into your account on your photo books landing page you can click the links to copy the book to different sizes.
The books may be small but they feature the same quality elements of our big photo books including lay flat pages and rich vibrant colors printed on archival photo paper.
These mini wedding photo books make the perfect thank you gift after the wedding and can easily be stowed and carried along when your parents want to show off their amazing kids on their wedding day.
Across America one can hear the crack of the bat and the words “Play Ball!” being shouted out across baseball stadiums in every state. It’s April and baseball season swings into action. It’s no surprise that a lot of people grow up playing baseball and soon turn that love into following their favorite team. This week we wanted to share some ideas with you on including America’s favorite pass time into your photo book designs.
I was recently inspired by members Kelly and Stacey Chance of Discover Bay Studios with their baseball engagement themed photo book. They took their couple to a baseball field and brought a long some props to fit the theme. They included bats, gloves and jerseys.
Obviously, they are die hard fans and both share this common love for baseball. It’s a fun way to showcase a couple’s pass time as well as how much fun they have together. If you would like to see this photo book in its entirety for more ideas and inspiration click on the image below.
We also have assets you can add to your baseball photo book. When your wee one is in little league, it’s important to capture these moments as well. We have some stickers you can add for extra decoration. You can also take pictures of their gloves or helmets to add interest. Also don’t forget, you can change the color of the pages and cover to match your child’s baseball team colors by picking the color picker.
With baseball season starting, we hope these few simple ideas will get you on your way to creating a one-of-a-kind memorable baseball photo book.
